About India Bike Week
India Bike Week which includes various activities on the sidelines is undoubtedly one of the country’s biggest two-day biking festivals. The first India Bike Week was held in 2013 and this 2018, the festival will complete 6 successful years.
The two-day festival comprises of bike rides, filming to the route, meeting the legends of motorbike racing, awesome food stalls and lots more. Most importantly, you don’t need to own a bike to attend the festival, you simply grab a ticket from the counter to enjoy the fun and frolic in the ground. In fact, there are no age restrictions on witnessing the event.
However, certain rules and regulations have been laid down for participation in the races. Some of the prominent organizers as well as sponsors of India Bike Week are Magic Bus, Orangefish Entertainment Private Limited, NGC Network, and Harley Davidson.
The History of India Bike Week
The foundation of India Bike Week was laid in 2013 by Martin Da Costa, CEO of 70 EMG Company. A biker and musician at heart, Costa came up with the idea of India Bike Week (IBW) at his office in Khar, Mumbai. The sole intent was to create a platform for those individuals who are passionate about motorbikes.
The inaugural India Bike Week festival took place in 2013 in Goa, India. It was jointly organized by motorbike legends, Seventy EMG, Fox Traveler and the motorbike king, Harley Davidson.
Well surely by now you must be wondering the motto of India Bike Week. Well, these festivals are organized to attract a large number of people and also create a brand image for India Bike Week. In fact, “Brotherhood”, a unique stage has been created which allows various motorbike communities to interact and bond on a single platform.
Another interesting snippet about India Bike Week 2013 was that it was attended by 6,500 people and with the help of a digital campaign, over 3000 tickets were sold.
As on date, India Bike Week has garnered a whopping 436,520 followers on Facebook, over 11.9k followers on Twitter and a notable 54.8K followers on Instagram.
