Congratulations, motorbike community of India!
Your wait is over, finally Mahindra has started the delivery of its most awaited brand of Jawa motorcycles for the bookings that started in November of 2018.
Classic Legends has already started the delivery of both the models – namely the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two. The motorbikes come with a 293 cc engine which is liquid cooled, single cylinder and produce a torque of 27 hp and 28 Nm.
The Jawa and Jawa Forty Two motorbikes come in two variants – Single Channel ABS and Dual Channel ABS.
Jawa – INR 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Forty Two – INR 1.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Jawa – INR 1.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Forty Two – INR 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Coming to fuel efficiency, both the motorbikes are certified by ARAI and give 37.5km/l.
The company also launched a special motorbike exchange mela to encourage more riders to try out the new league of bikes. You can literally exchange your old motorbike with a brand new Jawa model at any authorised Mahindra First Choice centres. The company has also tied up with various banks in order to make the process of two-wheeler loans smooth and easy for Jawa motorbike lovers.
Last month, on the 30th of Mar’19, Jawa organised an online fundraising auction for the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund run by the Kendriya Sainik Board, Ministry of Defence, primarily to help sponsor the education of the children of martyrs in the Indian Armed Forces.
13 selected motorcycles with tricolor livery were placed for auction wherein the bidders were given the option to bid for the chassis number ranging between 1-100. The winners also got a custom monogrammed fuel-tank cap with their name on it. You will be surprised to know that the Chassis number 001 was auctioned for Rs 45 lakh and the total collection from the auction was over a whopping Rs 1.43 crore.
The motorcycles are being delivered currently as per the online booking sequence. The company Classic Legends is also planning to expand its dealership further in India. At present they have 95 Jawa Motorcycles dealerships in over 77 cities in the country.
Jawa models are said to have been sold out until September’19. This is a remarkable achievement especially since this Retro styled bike is a resurrection of its old models.
The new stores of Jawa are offering free test ride and booking facility for both Jawa and Jawa Forty Two models. The showrooms are fully operational with a feel of old style and café like look. The company announced that in the coming days it will interact all the more with its customers and even communicate via e-mails and letters for regular updates.
Classic Legends with Mahindra backing has come a long way and revived the iconic Jawa motorbike successfully. The new versions of Jawa offer old-fashioned look of the bike but with better modern features.
We, at Motorbikes India are hopeful that like other motorbike brands, Jawa will also be able to create its own niche cult especially in the Indian motorbike community.
So, did you book the Jawa motorcycle yet? If not, well, go right away and take part in the exchange fair or simply books yours online today.
