This story is about a special motorbike journey undertaken by Nitin Koli, a name that needs no introduction. Known as “The First and the Fastest Rider in India”, Nitin covered all the four corners of India in the shortest time by road.
Today, we shall talk about his expedition that created records of a lifetime for anyone in the Indian motorbike community to beat. We believe that Nitin’s achievements will be an inspiration for the young bikers to never let the desire of achieving dreams run out.
So what was the ride all about?
Well, Nitin’s long ride was to create awareness for fire safety on all corners of India covering North, South, East, and West in the shortest span of time. He created a record under the “World Records India” as well as the “India Book of Records”.
Nitin’s ride started on the 1st of June 2018 on his Royal Enfield Himalayan with a mission to “Stop the Fire Before it Starts”. He covered a distance of around 14,309 km in 22 days, 5 hours and 20 mins.
Nitin touched Kashmir in the North to Kanyakumari in South to Tezu in the East and Koteshwar in the West in his solo ride.
You will be surprised to know that during his motorbike journey, Nitin covered more than 800 km distance in less than 12 hours and that too not once but many-a-times.
Wow! Well, guys that in itself is a record.
His sole motto was to care for the firefighters who are killed during fire blitz.
During the ride, Nitin met many people working in the fire department by visiting various fire stations, small restaurants, hotels, dhabas, tea stalls etc. This was with a view to spreading awareness towards fire safety measures. Additionally, he also distributed pamphlets, stickers, and posters with quotes on fire safety.
Here are a few locations which Nitin covered during his wonderful journey on RE Himalayan:
Koteshwar Mahadev, Gujarat
Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh
Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh
Pench Tiger Reserve
Drass, Jammu, and Kashmir
Undoubtedly, Nitin gave a huge boost to the social cause towards fire safety by covering distances far and wide. He helped in creating awareness in restaurants all over India and got immense support from his family, friends, fire fraternity and the motorbike community. He also got a chance to meet various like-minded bikers and groups who encouraged him in the course of his mission.
Nitin is proud to have fulfilled his dream ride “The Fastest Four Corners of India”. He also gained great experience and loads of affection from people all over India.
His message to the people who visit restaurants or food junctions is that they must do a survey beforehand to know the emergency exit and the available resources to handle any fire emergency situation.
