The summer is at its peak in India, the temperatures are soaring, and the heat is getting to everyone. The two-wheeler market is also scorching and is abuzz with the latest motorbikes ready to hit the road. The super-hot month of May is going to be bombastic.

The first two enter their newest motorbikes: TVS with its NTorq 125 XT and KTM with its 390 Adventure. Here’s a guide to the all-new motorbikes in May 2022. Some of the new motorbikes are KTM RC 390, Triumph Tiger1200, and all-new entrant Keeway K-Light Cruiser.

KTM RC 390 Next Generation

The all-new KTM RC 390 to launch in May 2022 will cost you Rs.3.5 lakhs ex-showroom Pune.

The monster motorbike has a 375 CC engine with one-cylinder, direct fuel injection type liquid-based cooling technology. The KTM RC 390 has a peak performance of 40Nm torque at 45 BHP. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox mechanism.

Ducati Scrambler 800

Ducati India is in a serious launch mode with Scrambler 1100 tribute in March this year, followed up with Multistrada V2 in April 2022. The latest from the Ducati stable is the Scrambler 800 Urban Motard costing around 8-10 lakhs.

The Scrambler 800 Urban Motard is designed in line with motocross super motorbikes compared to other motorbikes. The motorbike has a powerful 800 CC L-double engine. It produces 75 BHP power at 65 Nm torque. Scrambler 800 with a manual transmission 6-speed gearbox offers best-in-class control on the Indian roads.

Keeway K-Light Cruiser

The Indian motorbike market has not seen a new two-wheeler manufacturer enter. Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer Qian Jiang Motor, which now owns the Benelli brand, took over Keeway from Hungry. Keeway is stated to launch its flagship 500 CC cruiser motorbike, the K-Light Cruiser, in May 2022 at an expected price tag of 5 lakhs.

There isn’t enough information about the specs of this new cruiser, however, we expect Keeway 500 CC to come with 6-speed gear box, BS6 compliant, twin-cylinder, and liquid cooled engine.

Triumph Tiger 1200

The biggest sensation in the motorbike market is the launch of the superbike Tiger 1200 from Triumph in the UK priced at 17 lakhs.

This monster has a humongous 1200 CC triple cylinder engine with a rating of 150 BHP at 135Nm torque—a true monster under the hood. The machine is 6-speed manual transmission and revs up to maximum throttle when you tweak its acceleration on the handlebar.

Yamaha XSR 155

The all-new Yamaha XSR 155 expected to launch in December 2022 at a price of 1.40 lakhs looks retro and excellent with its delta-type box frame and a powerful engine.

It’s a sports motorbike with an eye-catching circular LED headlight and a teardrop-style fuel tank with single leather seating. The side panels are robust, rugged and sexy with its circular LED taillights. The seating is ergonomic with a high handlebar and a fork suspension at the front and rear. The new Yamaha XSR 155 has a high ground clearance for Indian road conditions. Its 155 CC liquid-based cooling type quad valve engine has a peak power of 20BHP at 15 Nm at 9000 rpm. The wheels have disc brakes and ABS as standard for better control and manoeuvrability.
